National Accounts Survey
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) conducts the National Accounts Survey in Curaçao annually. The purpose of this survey is to collect business-related data from financial companies, non-financial companies, government-owned corporations, foundations, associations, sole proprietorships, and more. The collected information is consolidated with administrative data from other sources, resulting in an overview of Curaçao’s economic development.
Every year, all companies and institutions with 10 or more employees (large entities) are approached. For those with fewer than 10 employees (small entities), a sample is selected.
Your company/institution has been selected to participate in the National Accounts Survey for this year. To fulfill this, you are required to complete the 2023 Annual Report questionnaire with the final financial figures for the fiscal year 2023
You can simply send a copy of your financial statement or report to the CBS. Completing the remaining general questions will take you less than 10 minutes.
We recommend making copies of your submission and filing them under "CBS." This will make it easier to respond to any additional questions we may have.
The completed questionnaire must be submitted to CBS within two (2) weeks of receipt. If you are unable to complete the questionnaire within this time frame, you may request an extension in writing. Extensions are only granted if requested before end of September 2024 and must include the date by which the data will be provided.
Please note that participation in this survey is legally required (PB 2011 No. 19). We guarantee the strict confidentiality of your company’s/institution’s data.
On the CBS website, you can find the publication "National Accounts Curaçao," which, among other things, shows how the information you provided is being utilized.
