ICT & Media Survey

Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) conducted in 2017 an ICT & Media survey. This collaborative survey aimed to assess  and usage of Information and Communication Technology by households and individuals in Curaçao.

Central Question of the ICT Survey:

To what extent did households and individuals in Curaçao have access to Information and Communication Technology, and how did they use it?

ICT Survey Sub-Questions:

  1. To what extent did households and individuals have access to ICT devices and services, and which specific devices and services were they?
  2. How did households and individuals use these ICT devices and services? (considering frequency, location, purpose, device/service, and security measures)
  3. To what extent did households and individuals utilize ICT devices and services?

Central Question of the Media Survey:

To what extent, how, and for what purposes did people in Curaçao use various media (radio, newspapers, television, social media), and what were their opinions about these media?

Media Survey Sub-Questions:

  1. The extent of media usage.
  2. The ways in which media were used.
  3. The purposes for which media were used.
  4. Opinions regarding the media.
